Course Description:

This course provides an overview of common issues associates face when entering into associate agreements. This course will provide an overview of important associate contract terms including the responsibilities and obligations of both practice owners and associates. Additional topics will include patient care and who is responsible when retreatment becomes necessary.

Learning Objectives:

  • Examine retreatment clauses, indemnity provisions and liabilities to third parties including legal liabilities
  • Learn about restrictions on competition during and post-sale including trade secret non solicitation.
  • Understand how to determine responsibility for patient care and communication upon termination of the associate
